Accessibility at YouMeUp

We are building YouMeUp to work for people using keyboards, touch screens, screen readers, zoom, reduced-motion settings, and other assistive technologies.

Our current target

YouMeUp uses WCAG 2.2 Level AA as its engineering accessibility target. This statement describes our current direction; it is not a certification or a legal claim that every page currently conforms.

How we design for access

  • Core navigation and actions are intended to be keyboard operable with visible focus.
  • Interactive maps are paired with list or card views so the map is not the only way to discover a place.
  • Forms use labels and visible error messages.
  • Motion is reduced when the device requests reduced motion.
  • Photo privacy editing has a non-drag alternative for adding and adjusting blur regions.

Known limitations

YouMeUp is still in soft-launch development. We are continuing to audit color contrast, keyboard behavior, touch-target sizing, image descriptions, complex maps, and administrative tools. Third-party destinations linked from YouMeUp have their own accessibility practices.

Report an accessibility problem

Tell us what page you were using, what you were trying to do, and what technology or input method you were using when helpful. We will use that information to investigate and prioritize fixes.
